Artech Lighting is in the market for a new Sales Director.

The company wants to recruit an industry professional with the drive and ambition to match its growth aspirations, spearheading the next stage of its rapid evolution.

The Durham-based manufacturer has continued to secure contracts despite the economic downturn and is offering a motivated, enthusiastic individual the once in a career opportunity to create their own dynamic UK-wide sales team, set sales strategy and shape the future direction of the business.

Artech has grown rapidly in recent years doubling turnover and profit year on year while increasing the headcount of staff at its design, development and manufacturing facility.

2021 will mark a key change in the business, as it grows its client base both in the UK and overseas.

Managing Director Stuart Hylton said: “We continue to secure contracts as our reputation grows through positive word of mouth across the industry, winning work ahead of major global lighting brands who, quite frankly, have had it far too easy for far too long. The breadth and depth of our UK manufactured product range continues to grow, allowing us to offer complete solutions for our clients across a full spectrum of projects.

“With projects secured for 2021 and beyond, we want someone who can focus on the sales side of the business and really ignite the afterburners, growing Artech’s reputation further as a major player in the lighting industry and continuing to disrupt the sector.”

The new Sales Director will receive the support of Stuart and fellow directors, Dave and Mike Lewis, who together boast over a century of experience in the electrical industry. They will also enjoy virtual autonomy to set out a successful sales strategy for the coming years.

The role offers an excellent salary, bonus scheme and the opportunity for an equity stake in a rapidly growing UK manufacturer.

“We want someone with the confidence and ability to deliver, as this is an opportunity for someone to really make a name for themselves…and for Artech Lighting,” added Stuart. “Rarely does the opportunity arise to create your own sales team, devise and implement your own sales strategy and help shape the future of an already successful UK manufacturing company.

“2020 was a difficult year and 2021, despite this early lockdown, is when we in the private sector must re-ignite the UK economy. Artech Lighting will be doing its bit and we hope the time has come for all UK companies to consider buying British and continue to prosper.

“If you are tired of doing it for others and feel the time is now for a new challenge with significant rewards, please contact us.”

Lighting industry experience is desirable, but not essential and anyone interested in learning more about the role should contact Stuart on to arrange an informal chat.
